Brian heads up the firm’s Commercial Litigation Department. He has years of invaluable experience in both the private and state litigation, having trained in A & L Goodbody Solicitors and practised as a Litigation Solicitor for 5 years in the Office of the Chief State Solicitor.

A native of Sligo, Brian headed back west in 2006 and joined the now Callan Tansey Solicitors in Sligo. Brian and his team in the Commercial Litigation Department handle High Court and Commercial Court Litigation advising Private and Corporate clients across a range of contentious matters such as Commercial Contract disputes and Professional Negligence actions and continue to build a reputation as sought after specialists in the areas of Employment Law and Defamation.

In 2007, Brian acted for the plaintiff in a High Court defamation case which resulted in the highest ever jury award in Ireland for slander.
