Janet is a proud native of Limerick City and is based in our Limerick office.
She has 14 years’ experience in Medical Negligence and Personal Injury litigation.
Janet has successfully pursued many cases for victims of medical malpractice involving birth injuries, neurosurgery, cauda equina, cerebral palsy, orthopaedic and surgical error.
On the defence side, Janet advised world leading insurance companies in landmark medical claims up to and including Supreme Court jurisdiction and represented General Practitioners, Private Hospitals and healthcare professionals in all aspects of the defence and management of complex medical malpractice cases.
Janet has also advised and represented the Mental Health Commission and has also appeared before the Fitness to Practice Committee of the Medical Council.
She also has extensive Ward of Court experience and has represented the General Solicitor for Minors and Wards of Court .
Janet is a leading commentator in Medical Law and Medical Negligence and was a speaker at the inaugural Callan Tansey Pathways to Progress conference in 2017 and the Limerick BAR Association annual conference in 2018. She is a regular contributor to Medical Literature Medzines providing medicolegal updates.
